Ricelands support more than 220 species of wildlife, providing valuable habitat for millions of birds along the Pacific Flyway.
Habitat provided by rice fields would cost more than $800 MILLION to replicate through the restoration of wetlands. Just a few species benefiting from ricelands include the Giant Garter Snake, White-Faced Ibis and Sandhill Crane.
