Rice provides habitat value

Ricelands support more than 220 species of wildlife, providing valuable habitat

for millions of birds along the Pacific Flyway.

Habitat provided by rice fields would cost more than $800 MILLION to replicate

through the restoration of wetlands.  Just a few species benefiting from ricelands

include the Giant Garter Snake, White-Faced Ibis and Sandhill Crane.
